(6-Hour Program) Understanding Ohio SB112 Requirements for Protective Door Assemblies

This workshop focuses on the inspection, operation, maintenance, and compliance considerations associated with protective door assemblies in educational facilities, including the annual inspection and documentation requirements referenced within the legislation.

Participants will gain practical guidance related to:

  • Understanding Ohio SB112 requirements
  • NFPA 101 and NFPA 80 considerations
  • Protective door assembly identification
  • Annual inspection and testing expectations
  • Documentation and recordkeeping best practices
  • Common deficiencies and corrective actions
  • Fire and life safety implications within school buildings
  • Compliance planning and ongoing maintenance strategies
