Breaking Down & Building Up Advanced Applications
(3-day program) The Breaking Down & Building Up Advanced Applications course delves deeper into the intricate world of detailing doors, frames, and hardware. Students will immerse themselves in the complexities of analyzing, interpreting, and applying advanced applications and develop the ability to identify potential conflicts between different elements of doors, frames, and hardware. By preemptively recognizing these conflicts, participants will be equipped to mitigate issues before they arise on the jobsite, thereby enhancing project efficiency and minimizing costly setbacks.
Students will learn to analyze hardware specifications and content comprehensively. Through this process, participants will gain the proficiency to prepare precise and detailed door hardware schedules, ensuring seamless coordination between design intent and construction execution.
By the conclusion of the program, participants will emerge with a heightened understanding of advanced detailing principles and the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the complexities of doors, frames, and hardware with confidence and precision.
After participating in this session, attendees should be able to:
- Identify conflicts between doors, frames, and hardware components to prevent jobsite problems.
- Prescribe appropriate application of components to ensure properly functioning openings.
- Interpret specification requirements to furnish compliant product.
- Analyze hardware sets to proficiently prepare precise and detailed hardware schedules.
Recommended prior learning: Detailing Basics or equivalent training.
Automated end of class exams are delivered via DOITs Learning Management System at the end of the course, students must achieve a minimum 80%.
To earn a course completion certificate, attendees are required to fully participate in the training activities, lectures, and discussion, and pass the end of class exam. Participation is defined as greater than 90% attendance of the scheduled course time and active engagement verified by the instructor.
