Electromechanical Hardware Fundamentals

(3-day program) Nearly every project today has some type of electromechanical hardware, whether simple or complex, it is all based on some fundamental principles. This hands-on course will teach students the basics of circuitry and wiring, reading and drawing wiring diagrams and will bring them through operational based projects where they can hook-up and troubleshoot common hardware applications.

After participating in this session, attendees should be able to:

  1. Recognize basic electronic terminology and components of low voltage circuits.
  2. Illustrate products required for a complete electrified opening.
  3. Sketch out different types of electrified opening drawings.
  4. Design, wire and troubleshoot electrified hardware circuits of varied levels.

Automated end of class exams are delivered via DOITs Learning Management System at the end of the course, students must achieve a minimum 80%.

To earn a course completion certificate, attendees are required to fully participate in the training activities, lectures, and discussion, and pass the end of class exam. Participation is defined as greater than 90% attendance of the scheduled course time and active engagement verified by the instructor.

22 Contact Hours - Eligible for 2.2 IACET CEUs

Course cost includes breakfast, lunch and morning/afternoon snack each day of class.
