Project Management Basics

(2-day program) Now that you have a project, how can you assure it runs smoothly? Students will dive into real-world case studies and scenarios to analyze successful project management practices and extract valuable lessons and insights. They will learn to identify common project pitfalls and challenges, equipping themselves with the knowledge to preemptively recognize and address potential errors and mistakes. By the end of this comprehensive course, participants will emerge as confident and skilled project managers, equipped with the knowledge, tools, and strategies necessary to lead successful projects and drive organizational success. 

After participating in this session, attendees should be able to:

1. Apply the 5 C's of communication in project management.

2. Evaluate the 3 main forces affecting a project, time, cost, and quality, when making project decisions.

3. Recognize common project pitfalls to avoid project errors and mistakes.

4. Develop a personalized action plan to implement key learning and strategies into their own projects, ensuring immediate and tangible results.

Automated end of class exams are delivered via DOITs Learning Management System at the end of the course, students must achieve a minimum 80% on the exam to pass the course.
