(3-day program) The opening industry is built on codes; your education should be built on a code foundation. This course will bring students through scenario-based exercises that will teach them to navigate and apply, building, fire, life safety and accessibility codes. This course covers: NFPA 80 – Standards for Fire Doors and Other Opening Protectives, NFPA 105 – Standard for Smoke Doors Assemblies and Other Opening Protectives, NFPA 101 – Life Safety Code, ICC A117.1 – Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities and IBC – International Building Code.

Automated end of class exams are delivered via DOITs Learning Management System at the end of the course, students must achieve a minimum 80%.
22 Contact Hours - Eligible for 2.2 IACET CEUs
To earn a course completion certificate, attendees are required to fully participate in the training activities, lectures, and discussion, and pass the end of class exam. Participation is defined as greater than 90% attendance of the scheduled course time and active engagement verified by the instructor.
Course cost also includes breakfast (for hotel guests only), lunch and morning/afternoon snack each day of class.
